I've read a few decent books lately

Alan Balls autobiography..............very well written and enjoyable
Nobby Stiles autobiography.........I'm no manure fan but this book goes beyond them and a great insight to the 66 world cup final
Ranulph Fiennes "mad bad and dangerous to know"................. this book is mental, and just shows what a looney Fiennes is, from his adventures crossing the poles to climbing Everest. An absolute MUST read but you...

June 4th Elections

As you are all probably aware we go to the polls on June 4th to elect our members of the European Parliament.

What some folk might not be fully aware of is that this election is a Proportional Representation one (where every vote counts) as opposed to the 'First passed the post' system that we have in our General Elections (where 'Protest' votes are indeed just that)

If you wish to send out a message to our main three parties, by voting for someone else...

DVLA Moan, Rant, Out Of Order!!!!

As I mentioned in another post somewhere I have been recently diagnosed as having type 2 diabetes and am now insulin dependant. Its no big deal I just have to inject my insulin 4 times a day and eat 3 meals a day at regular intervals as most people do.

I was told by my diabetic nurse to notify my (car) insurance company and the DVLA that I have diabetes. My insurance company noted it and werent particularly interested. But the DVLA!!!!!!

I notified them about 3 weeks ago...
