I think it would be fairly safe to say i didnt do much fishing last year. I went ou about 6times tops in the entire year. In April my club lake that i fished about 3 times last year had a social with a BBQ, casting comp etc and i went. I didn't fish much last year due to some health problems, in fact I only managed 5 trips and wasn't able to fish through the winter months at all, so I was really looking forward to the start of this season on Carthagena which started on 1st May.

The draw was made 3 weeks ago, I didn't enter the draw but arranged to get to the lake on Sunday 4th and hopefully fish a 4 nighter returning home on Thursday morning. I arrived at the lake at around 9.00 am...

This year i have managed to do 3 carp sessions, 4 nights on the pit and 1 day session yesterday on a little water in somerset with my friend Alexei, it was just pasty bashing where we both managed two carp, was really good fun and all that but nothing serious.
on june 16th of 2007 i decided i wasnt going to renew my roach pit ticket.... and i stuck to that and tore up the forms when they came back in january, a lovely water with lovely fish, but i just couldnt get the buzz for it...

A new year and therefore a new thread. Arrived at the estate lake at 07:00 on Sunday morning to find the car park empty so took the opportunity when the light levels eventually rose to do a couple of laps of the lake in the hope I may see a sign of activity.
