			<description><![CDATA[ Had the chaance of an afternoons fishing so rather than hump the carp gear around thought it a good idea to have a bash on the river, just for a change. So,
armed with 1 1/2 pints of maggots I arrive at the river around 12.30pm, have a wander around and pick my swim, set up with a small maggot feeder and cast in. I
was after anything that would take my bait to be honest but secretly hoped for a Grayling or 2 as it&#39;s a fish I haven&#39;t caught many of. The feeder is

Wednesday saw me walking the banks and feeding a few likely spots that I already knew with pellet and a few homemades. 			<description><![CDATA[ Been waiting for this day for ages. Finally got my chance to fish on chew. 1200 acres..... Strong winds and driving rain for most of the day but still managed to have plenty of fun.<br><br>Between me and my mate we bagged 15 pike with the biggest going 15Lb and even bagged a trout.<br><br>Tactics wise, we moved areas on a regular basis and after catching a few from a spot, we moved to another spot and returned to the previous spot. This worked really well. We returned to the same spot 3 times... ]]></description>

The lake itself is only open for pike fishing for 6 weeks a year at most and you have to book a year in advance to get any chance of getting a day or 2 on there.
