Ah, Mr Benn..... a fav of mine too.
When I was really young I enjoyed Mary, Mungo & Midge. I used to love Trumpton, Camberwick Green and Chigley too. In later years Grange Hill and Murphy's Mob were my choice.

Speaking of drug related children's tv, how about The Magic Roundabout, that was one of my faves, but it wasn't until later years that you look back
and you think hmmmm Dylan, what's that all about then!!!!!!!!!!!! Zebedee was my favourite character

Captain Pugwash had some riske characters too Gayle, although Hectors house was straight Blue Peter ticked most boxes when I was a nipper, used to love sticky

I remember The Red Hand Gang! Re: Magic Roundabout..... Dylan deffo on dope, I believe the flower in Ermintrudes mouth was supposed to be representative of an opium poppy and didn't Zebeedee (sp?) used to give Dougal a sugar lump, after which Dougal used to spin round for a few seconds? I heard recently that the Pugwash characters (Roger the Cabin boy, Seaman Stains and One Eyed Jake) were an urban myth.
