Not long now before I do my last carp session of the season, before I pack away the bivvy, bedchair and all that paraphanalia and focus on my usual winter quarry. My targets this year are to try and better my chub and perch PB's (would be nice to do them from the Thames). If the rivers are in a similar state to the end of the season last year, then it'll have to be (and I'd be mad not to) barbel fishing.
What none-carpy plans do you all have? It's not the results, but HOW you play the game that counts!

I may have a dabble after Mr and Mrs Pike and a few trips on the river but after carping for my 1st Winter last year I think I'm going to concentrate on that for most of my fishing

Will you be doing overnighters in Winter mac, or be sticking to day sessions.

Work and kids etc always seem to get in the way of my fishing during the summer months and I always seem to get more fishing done during the winterso any sessions I get in will be dedicated Carp sessions.
I will be taking my eldest son out through the winter though for the next step in his jedi training, trying to get him a bite from Pike and Perch and whatever else comes along on a River. Not sure which river yet, either the Ouse, the Cuckmere or the Rother. He has only ever fished stillwaters before so the running water should pose a good challenge for him, as should the cold!! Andy
